Every Friday, my kiddos have to take a selection test on the story we've been working on that week. It is
So, one of my super amazing colleagues came up with the "100% Bubble Gum Club".
Any student who gets 100% on their test gets to chew gum during the test next Friday. Talk about motivation...
Last week (before I had told them about the bubble gum club) I had 4 kids with 100%... not so great. This week, there are 12! I knew they could do better than they were!
I am going to print this poster out, glue it to a red piece of construction paper, and then laminate it. Then, each week I can write the names on it of the kiddos who got 100% with a Vis-a-Vis marker. They are our "100% Bubble Gum Club Kids!"
Feel free to grab the poster HERE. I hope you can use it! If you can, please leave me a comment and let me know because comments make my day! :-)
Have a great Sunday!!!
What a great idea! My teammates and I were just discussing how our students are not performing their best on their weekly tests. This will certainly help with the motivation!

I love, love, love this! I'll probably use it for my weekly math fact quizzes to give them a little bit more motivation. Our goal is 40 in two minutes, I have so MANY that just sit there and doodle and get 10 in 2 minutes when they FLY through our daily practice!
ReplyDeleteNot even kidding! :)
